Diversified Career Services is excited to announce the launch of its inaugural Job Search Challenge, scheduled to run from November 1st through November 30th. During this challenge, you will be positioned to design your career roadmap for 2015. Whether you want to change jobs — or careers — in the new year, or simply get more out of your current job, a career plan is essential to helping you reach your goals.
For the next 30 days, we will be sharing one actionable task each day you can use to conduct a strategic job search. Additionally, once per week we will post a blog post you can use to tie all of the recommended strategies together into a cohesive plan you can use to decisively move forward in your career. - Assess where you are
- Articulate your goal
- Prepare your game plan
- Take action
During the challenge, we will accept questions submitted by challenge participants using our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/diversifiedcareerservices), via Twitter (@dresources), or by email ([email protected]). At the conclusion of the event, we will host a live audio conference that will allow participants to get general questions answered regarding the hidden job market, social media, personal branding, networking, interview prep, and a host of other career management topics.
At the conclusion of the 30 days, we will sponsor a drawing to select 10 individuals to attend our upcoming Q&A forum as our guests. The drawing will be held Monday, December 1st. To qualify for this free drawing, participants simply need to (1) subscribe to our free e-list AND (2) “like” our Facebook page.
It’s estimated that 90 percent of our daily lives is spent doing routine tasks. But habit can be a bad thing, because “if you keep on doing what you’ve always done, you’re going to keep on getting what you’ve always got.”
